Automation¶
rex:// URL scheme¶
Anything that can open a URL can drive the app:
| URL | Effect |
|---|---|
rex://record |
Start a recording (ignored while one is running) |
rex://record?title=Weekly%20sync |
Start a recording with a title |
rex://stop |
Stop the current recording |
rex://toggle[?title=…] |
Start or stop |
rex://open |
Show the main window |
rex://open?id=<uuid> |
Show one meeting (id from meeting.json or rex list --json) |
rex://settings |
Open Settings |
A malformed link is reported in the app's status line, never fatal. Launch Services learns the scheme
the first time Rex.app runs; rex doctor tells you which bundle it resolves to.
Raycast¶
Examples/raycast/ holds script commands - Rex: Record Meeting, Stop Recording, Toggle
Recording, Open Rex, Record Meeting As… (with a title argument). Add the folder in
Raycast › Extensions › Script Commands. They are one-liners around open "rex://…", so they work
from Shortcuts, Alfred or Keyboard Maestro as well.
CLI¶
rex shares the engine and config with the app.
